Acquired by the grandparents of the present owner between 1914 and 1918

Condition

The canvas is not lined and there do not appear to be any retouchings visible under UV light. There are artist's pinholes to the lower two corners and the upper left corner. There are some tiny fly spots in places and some scattered fine lines of craquelure. There is a small indentation to the canvas towards the centre of the right edge with some associated flecks of paint loss. This work is in overall good condition.
