Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a layer of varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating however UV examination reveals a tiny area of old fluorescence to the green pigment towards the centre- left of the composition and a fine line towards her shawl on her proper left bust. There are some scattered fine lines of craquelure throughout which appear to be stable. Two minor spots of paint loss to the centre of the left edge and and a tiny spot to the centre of the right edge. This work is in overall good condition.
