Condition

Oil on paper laid down on canvas. UV examination reveals spots and thin lines of retouching to the lady's face, and some spots to the background, predominantly to the right hand-side of the composition. The sheet is gently undulating to the upper left corner, there is a tiny spot of paint loss to the centre of the lower extreme edge, and to the upper right corner with some very fine creases possibly due to the laying down process. There is a pinhole to each upper corner. This work is in good condition.
