Literature
Jean & Henry Dauberville, Bonnard, Catalogue raisonné de l'œuvre peint, 1940-1947 et supplement 1887-1939, 1974, Paris, vol. IV, no. 01844, illustrated p. 217 (with original dimensions of 63 by 48.1cm.)
Condition
Executed on paper laid down on canvas, the canvas is lined. UV examination reveals an area of retouching to the top right corner (2 by 2.5cm.) and two dots towards the centre of the right edge. There is some scattered fluorescence visible under UV light, possibly due to artist's materials and techniques. There some very fine lines of shrinkage to the lady's blouse. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition.
