Provenance

Private Collection, Europe (a gift from the artist to the present owner in 1969)

Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and t-hinged to the mount with tape along the upper edge. The sheet is watermarked on the upper and lower edge 'B F K Rives'. The left and right edges are deckled. The sheet is very faintly undulating and is time stained along all four edges due to previous mounting, most visible in the upper quadrant. There are residues of tape along the back of all four corners due to previous mounting. Otherwise this work is in overall very good condition.
