Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some spots and lines of retouching, predominantly to the left of the composition, relating to medium loss associated with raised craquelure. There is some further craquelure, some of which is raised, to the left part of the composition. There is a spot of retouching to the column on the right and the canvas is very gently undulating along the upper edge. Otherwise this work is in good condition.
