Condition

The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial, as seen in the catalogue, shows some spots of weakness to the black enamel, and some very slight discoloration to the edges between 3 and 6 o'clock. The blue enamel to the hands bears some losses and possible restoration. Similarly, there are some small portions of surface loss to the blue enamel inlaid into the gold bezel. These are visible to the naked eye but the overall look is cohesive and clean. The Maurice Couet and gold marks are crisp and very legible. The onyx overall is in excellent and intact condition. The strut is numbered 2684 in script to the exterior and the interior bears the hand-stamped Cartier reference numbers 4697 and 2684. The inside of the case back bears the hand-stamped Cartier reference numbers 4697 and 2684, and the exterior 0878. International buyers should note that due to United States Fish & Wildlife Services and International CITES restrictions on mother-of-pearl, there will be a wait time of approximately 5 weeks for shipment of the property.
