The Opus Collection of Harry Winston watches is one of the most respected series in modern horology where the partnership was formed between the brand and independent watchmakers, driven by a collective goal to fulfill ultimate horological dreams and redefining the way to tell time.

Unveiled at the 2005 Baselworld, the Opus 5 was created by Harry Winstons’s Rare Timepieces division and Felix Baumgartner of Urwerk to show teamwork and cooperation can lead to greater potential. From its conception to its inception, the design and production are unlike other timepieces and result in a luxury timepiece in a league of its own. The watch features an off-center movement with “satellite hour” display reminiscent of the “wandering hour” displays found in some early pocket watches. This consisted of a semi-circular opening around which the minutes 0 to 60 were marked and an aperture to indicate the hours. In the “satellite hour” display of the Opus V, there are 3 separate blocks, carrying 4 numerals each, which indicate the hour while spinning around two axes.

Produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces, there are only 45 examples in platinum.  These limited series watches are jointly signed.
