Reference 3433 was launched in 1960 as the replacement for reference 2551. Produced for about seven years, it is thought that this model is twice as rare as its predecessor, and presents collectors with a rare opportunity.

In total around 500 watches were made of this reference, most in yellow gold, and only a few in platinum. Another distinguishing feature on this watch the use of the Patek Philippe crown instead of the later used Calatrava crown, making it even more desirable for collectors.
