Please note that the movement has not been checked for timekeeping accuracy and Sotheby's will not be held responsible for any repairs should they be require.
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing. The date, day/night indicator and the power reserve are functioning. The case is in good general condition with usual light scuffs due to use. The dial and the hands are in perfect condition. Very nice example.

The present lot is a very attractive example of the very early watches produced by François Paul Journe characterized by a brass movement.
The rarity of the watch is further enhanced by the fact that this series is the only one fitted with a day and night indicator.
