Condition

Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its time keeping and therefore a service should be carried out in the near future at the buyer's expense. The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however is may benefit from a service soon. Chronograph is functioning. Dial in very good condition. The hands are slightly scratched and don't glow anymore. The case and the bracelet with some scuffs throughout. General very good condition. The bracelet is numbered - 78350 19 571 The guarantee is blank and dated 1979. Rare and appealing watch to recommend.

Catalogue Note

This extremely interesting piece features a rarely seen combination of a stainless steel case and bracelet with a gold dial and hands.

The watch was bought in this configuration in 1979. It was kept and cherished until today by its first and only owner who confirmed the information. Furthermore, the watch, in beautiful condition, was carefully maintained by Rolex over the years and the manufacture has always accepted the watch and its combination as authentic and original.

Released circa 1972 the Daytona reference 6263 featuring an Oyster case with screw-down back, crown and chronograph buttons and fitted with a black acrylic calibrated bezel remained in production until circa 1987.
