Catalogue Note

Reference 6205 is one of the rarest and most sought after Submariner models ever produced. Manufactured for only one year (between 1954 and 1955) this reference does not feature crown-guards or depth indication on the dial and is among the first versions of the famous Submariner model.

A similar example is illustrated in Skeet, M. & Urul, N., Vintage Rolex Sports Models, 2002, p. 28.
