Catalogue Note

The present reference 6239, with ‘Paul Newman’ dial, is one of the earliest versions of the Daytona model produced and has a bezel calibrated for 300 units per hour. Soon after production of this reference began, the bezels were changed to a 200 unit calibration. Early versions of reference 6239, like the present example, are rare and highly collectible due to their pivotal position in the development of the legendary Daytona model.
