Condition

Original canvas, which is slightly buckling in the bottom corners. There is some surface dirt. There is craquelure throughout, which is slightly raised in places, as well as paint shrinkage to the black areas of the picture. There is fleck of paint loss to the second bottle from the top right. There is another small area of paint loss to the second bottle from the bottom left, and one just above the first bottle from the left, both of which have been retouched but are still visible. A few minor areas of paint loss to the light grey strip along the right edge have also been retouched. These retouches do not match the original colour and are visible to the naked eye. In addition, inspection under UV-light reveals some scattered retouching, most notable to the middle of the left edge. Held in a wooden frame with canvas slip. Unexamined out of frame.
