Condition

Gouache on paperboard. Artist's sketch visible on the reverse. Surface in generally good condition, aside from some areas of loss around extreme edges. A thin, fine web of craqueleur visible in the purple hues along right edge, as well as in areas of thickly applied pigment in lower quarter. Some flaking in the gouache above the top left canopy. A few other scattered spots of flaking. Under UV light, no apparent in painting visible.
