(height 27 in.; width 15 1/2 in.; 686 cm; 394 mm). Jacquard woven cotton and wool, ornamented with gilt woven braid and silk woven fringe, embroidered with silver and gold thread, with a cotton white and blue dotted lining. Silver thread slightly frayed. Minor wear to fabric.

Embroidered in silver and gold thread with the Hebrew letters Khaf and Tav, for the Hebrew words Keter Torah. Between the two Hebrew letters a bell-shaped form of beads and silver and gold thread. Stamped on the inside with the Hebrew and French insignia of La Societé de l'Etude Talmudique, Paris. White cotton tag affixed to the inside stamped with the initials C.I.S.O. 57.
