Designed as a flexible snake set with a pear-shaped old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.60 carats, further set with numerous old mine, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 36.10 carats, completed by two cabochon ruby eyes, length 21 inches; late 19th century.

Condition

In good condition. The large pear shaped diamond is approximately I-J color, SI clarity. The largest round diamond is approximately H-I color, I clarity. The remaining diamonds range from approximately H-J color, VS-SI clarity with a few I clarity examples. The ruby eyes are bright medium red, eye-clean. One diamond is missing. Please note this necklace dates from the late 19th century.
