Description

  • gold, emerald, diamond
Set with a cabochon emerald weighing 39.33 carats, framed by round diamonds weighing approximately 4.65 carats, size 6.

Condition

In good condition with gentle surface wear to the gold. The asymmetrical cabochon emerald displays a soft medium slightly bluish green with some evidence of color zoning around the perimeter of the stone moderately included with examples of surface-reaching inclusions visible under magnification. The diamonds are approximately E-G color, predominantly VS clarity. The emerald is set in a mounting which allows the piece to be worn as a ring or detached from the shank and worn as a pendant. To release the pendant, lift up on the gold tab. To return the pendant to the ring mounting, retract the diamond-set pendant-loop and orient the mounting so that the opening along the bezel is aligned with the pendant loop. Secure into place with gold tab. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 49700 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: faint, type: traditional.
