The earrings suspending two natural pearl drops measuring approximately 16.2 by 10.3 by 5.6 mm and 15.6 by 10.8 by 10.3 mm, topped by coronets, set with old mine and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, highlighted by black enamel, one diamond missing; the pendant of similar design, suspending a pearl drop measuring approximately 23.4 by 13.3 by 10.0 mm, set with old mine and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.85 carats, one diamond missing; circa 1890-1900.

Condition

In good condition overall with evidence of discoloration to the gold, mainly on the reverse of the earrings and pendant. EARRINGS: The two natural pearl drops present a creamy white and silvery light gray body color, the blister pearl more gray with moderate rose overtones and the natural pearl displaying soft yellow overtones. Good luster and minute blemishing in the form of pitting and peeling skins. The larger diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity, and the remainder of the diamonds are near-colorless and decorative in quality. Minor areas of loss to the black enamel. One diamond missing at apex of cross at the top of one earring. Length approximately 2 inches. PENDANT: The pearl drop displays a silvery white body color with soft rose and blue overtones, good luster and moderate blemishing in the form of pitting and wrinkled skins. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS-SI clarity, some more decorative in quality. One diamond missing at the center of the pearl cap. Light scratching to the enamel, not visible when worn. Length of pendant approximately 2 3/4 inches. Accompanied by two GIA reports: No. 1152650008 stating that the pearls in the earrings are natural blister and natural, saltwater. no. 1152649987 stating that the pearl in the pendant is natural, saltwater. Please note that one of the earring hooks has become detached and will be repaired for the purchaser by Sotheby's.
