The necklace and earrings set with 15 oval and cushion-cut sapphires weighing 53.72 carats, accented by numerous marquise-shaped diamonds weighing 34.04 carats, necklace length 16½ inches.
Condition
In good condition. The sapphires in the necklace are a medium to medium light violetish blue, lightly included, with several examples bearing light surface wear. The earrings both have one sapphire that is a medium light bluish violet and another that is a medium light violetish blue, lightly to moderately included. The diamonds throughout are approximately F-H color, VS-SI clarity. The central sapphire in the necklace accompanied by AGL report no. CS 57416 stating that the sapphire is natural, with no indications of heating. The additional sapphires accompanied by 14 AGL Sapphire Briefs stating that the sapphires are natural, with no indications of heating. The Sapphire Brief for the 1.47 carat sapphire notes that it is a color-change sapphire. Fitted with a safety closure.
