- height overall 7 ft. 9 in.; width 19 1/2 in.; depth 9 1/4 in.; dial 12 in.

with a five pillar two-train movement with anchor escapement, bell striking on the hour, the dial signed Ant Herbert in Moorefields / London. Bearing an old paper label printed PERCY WEBSTER / 37 GREAT PORTLAND STREET, W1 and inscribed Anthony Herbert / Morefields / 1660. Case with additions and restorations.

The domed section to the top is later; the blind fret carved frieze above the door is later; the plinth base beneath the marquetry is later, probably originally with bun feet; minor warpage to the door of the case with small age cracks over lines of construction and restoration to the marquetry in places; finials later.
