Pile ranges from low to knotheads in most areas to low to spot foundation in oxidized browns and scattered foldwear. An approximately 10 in. by 7 in. reweave to upper left corner; two smaller reweaves to upper right and lower left corners; further smaller reweaves; scattered repiling and scattered kashmir repiling throughout as visible in catalogue illustration. Scattered vertical and horizontal foldwear. Ends lacking outer guard stripes, now secured with a chain stitch. Sides reselvaged with two-cord cotton selvages now detached in areas. Some scattered spot stains and surface dirt. Very supple handle; very good archaic overall design.
