The cabinet with a rectangular recessed paneled top above two paneled doors and similarly paneled sides all decorated with Chinese landscapes with mountains and lakes with trees, within borders decorated with scrolling foliage, flowerheads and panels of diaper work, all in tones of gold on a black ground, supported on a low pierced stand above a table with a shaped apron and supported on plain cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet, all similarly decorated in tones of gold on a black ground, the interiors of the doors decorated with sprays of bamboo and opening to an architectural interior fitted at the center with a recessed cupboard enclosed within pierced doors, above small drawers and flanked at each side with a shelf enclosed by an open moon door with a projecting platform below with column supports and edged with turned balustrades, all above several small shallow drawers, all decorated with landscapes with lake scenes with islands, trees and pagodas. Cabinet and stand associated.

Fitted for electricity; cabinet and stand associated; the lacquer to the cabinet dry and lifting in places with large craquelure as visible in the catalogue illustration; some small areas of losses and restorations. The stand with craquelure to the lacquer throughout and flaking in places in need of conservation.
