Description
- giltwood
Each with a padded oval backrest with floral cresting, padded shallow arms on molded supports and serpentine-fronted upholstered seat, on circular tapered fluted legs ending in top-form feet.
Condition
Overall good condition; re-gilt. Gilding with small losses and abrasions consistent with age. Some cracking to gilding where the crest rail attaches to the rest of the oval seat back with most of the worn areas of gilding on the crest rail and on the decorative elements. Some minor losses to the columnar legs and one front leg shows previous restorations. Both have later strengthening corner brackets and new upholstery. The chairs are sturdy.
