Condition

Overall good condition; sturdy; the mahogany with usual nicks, wear and scratches consistent with age and use; the later leather upholstery in good condition with some minor stains and wear.

The present footstools are similar in design to footstools illustrated in Ackermann's Regency Furniture & Interiors, pl. 58, dated 1813.
