Condition
Please note the measurements of this lot are 29 ¼ x 66 ¾ x 82 ¼ inches. (74.3 x 169.5 x 208.9 cm).
Overall very good original condition. The quarters used in this prototype are all from the State series and are placed with the state side facing out. Each of the quarters is affixed by welds to the complex steel understructure, rendering the piece both functional and stable. The coins throughout with minor discoloration and tarnish, which can easily be removed by a restorer. With some minor surface dirt with the recesses of the design. A deeply sculptural form that demonstrates the skill and craftsmanship characteristic of Johnny Swing's designs. A wonderfully dynamic shape when viewed in person.
