Condition

Overall in very good original condition. As seen in catalogue illustration, both the wooden and metal elements with wear consistent with age and use. The oak elements present with wear, surface scratches, abrasions and discolorations throughout, the front and back edges as seen in the catalogue illustration with a number of losses to the veneer, the largest extending along approximately 6 inches, all of them revealing the wood underneath. Please contact the department for additional photographs of the lot. Each of the panel presents with some discoloration to some portions of the design, consistent with age and use. The oak panels present with surface scratches adjacent to the fastening hardware throughout, likely caused from disassembly and assembly .The metal portions of the design bear the original finish and present throughout with oxidation, rubbing and discoloration as seen in the catalogue illustration. The condition of the metal elements is evident in the catalogue illustration as well as the detailed photographs that appear on p. 127 if the catalogue. The metal equipment with some wear to the finish, surface dirt and some edge losses that reveal the natural underneath. The fastening hardware appears original throughout and with minor wear. Please note the measurement of this lot as it is large in scale. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a rare work by the artist, showcasing her modernist design aesthetic in original condition.
