Condition
Good overall condition. The stools present with a warmer tone overall than what appears in the catalogue illustration. These works represents a portion of a larger collection of Robsjohn-Gibbings furniture on offer in this auction that was acquired in the 1960s by Gustav Tassell. The structure of each stool in good condition showing expected minor surface scratches, abrasions and minor isolated areas of discoloration consistent with age and gentle use. Minor surface staining to the leather surface as seen in the catalogue illustration. The leather seat with some scratches and rubbing to the surface finish and minor nicks at the center of the seat consistent with the folding function of the stools. The brass surfaces with light scratches, some traces of discoloration and surface tarnishing, consistent with the aging of the material. Two wonderful early examples of the model in original condition.
