Condition
Overall in very good condition. The electrical elements and the semi-circular glass shades are replaced in a shape and manner consistent with the original design. The panel displays visible mold lines inherent in the making which are entirely consistent with glass of this scale and thickness. The reverse of one of the panel (shown on the left in the catalogue illustration) with with area extending from the bottom edge measuring approximately 9 inches in length, where the thickness of the applique has been reduced and there remain of few small and minor edge chips. Please contact the department for photographs of this area of the applique. The same panel with a few small and minor shallow chips on the opposing side of the panel at the bottom and at the approximate half height. This panel with a small loss to one of the raised decorative details to the outer border below the outer edge of the shade. The panel shown on the right in the catalogue illustration with minor chips to both lower corners and to the adjacent side of the base.
Each sconce with a wheel-cut mark R. LALIQUE and not an engraved mark as noted in the catalogue.
