Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 15 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The base was originally designed as an oil lamp and later adapted to electricity. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display a rich marbled russet brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces with surface scratches, abrasions, rubbing and some minor discolorations consistent with age and use. The side of the base with a small white paint mark. The shade arms with some wear and rubbing to the interior end terminals from surface contact over time with the shade. The reticulated gallery around the central socket appears to be original to the lamp. The central socket and present switch are both later replacements. With a replaced clear glass chimney. A strong example of this exceedingly rare model of the smaller-scaled Arrowhead shade, displaying a well varied and artistic glass selection distinguished by the use of textured ripple glass on the shade exterior to articulate the white flower blossoms and upper and lower geometric borders. The background glass in the top register shows subtle tones of cobalt blue, echoed by cobalt accents in the bottom geometric row. The lamp presents beautifully in person and is very charming owing to its smaller refined scale.
