Overall in very good condition. The top aperture rim of the shade with some small edge chips and flecks limited to one small area (1 ¼ inch) on the rim. This is rather minor and common with favrile glass shades, and is not at all visible when the shade is installed in the base. The shade is embellished with two small hand-carved insects. The shade with a few minor traces of surface residue on the exterior and interior. The patinated bronze surfaces display a rich marbled green and russet brown patina. The bronze surfaces with some surface scratches, abrasions and surface soiling to the recessed contours consistent with age and gentle use. The socket and paddle switch appears to be original and undisturbed. The impressive blue shade displays outstanding color and beautifully articulated feather decoration. The exterior is intensely iridized, and when viewed with reflected light displays strong luminosity and a range of brilliant jewel-tone hues.
