Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 20 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The shade with evidence of prior restoration just above the bottom rim, localized to the first row of glass, presumably to stabilize the shade leading. Some of the larger green background tiles in the bottom row appear to be replaced, though with complementary period Tiffany glass. This type of restoration has been seen with almost every example that we have seen of this model, presumably owing to specific vulnerabilities in this design and the larger glass tiles in the bottom border. Some of the cracks in the shade appear to be stabilized with glue. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display an exceptionally rich marbled green and russet brown patina. The bronze surfaces with some surface scratches and abrasions, rubbing to the patina, and surface soiling to the recessed contours consistent with age and gentle use. All three of the sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. With a replaced drop finial. A beautiful example of this model displaying a strongly saturated and highly artistic glass selection. The blossoms are articulated in a wide range of brilliant purples, yellows, oranges, reds and white, with vigorous mottling to define the blossom clusters, all offset by a rich and striated green ground.
