Overall in very good condition. With some small and minute air bubble and particulate inclusions inherent in the making. As is commonly seen in floriforms, the bottom of the interior bowl with some scattered dark red spotting, which is inherent in the sprayed application of the iridescent surface treatment (not visually detracting). The interior of the bowl and underside of the foot are beautifully iridized, imparting the vase with a strong sense of luminous color and a range of brilliant hues. The top rim is vigorously ruffled, giving the vase a dynamic sculptural presence. This feature cannot be fully appreciated from the catalogue illustration, which was taken from a lower vantage. (Please contact the department for additional photos.) A very delicate and beautifully articulated example, displaying exquisitely rendered decoration and strong color.
