Overall in very good condition. With some small and minute air bubble and particulate inclusions inherent in the making. The exterior with a few small and minor light surface scratches at the outermost contours of the shoulder. The vase appears to have been re-numbered in the period. The underbase has a small rectangle that appears to have been struck out, presumably when the present date letter was engraved. The exterior is beautifully iridized, imparting the vase with a strong range of brilliant jewel-tone hues. Select areas of the decoration on the lower half of the vase displays subtle dimension above the ground, enhancing the visual interest of the vase. A very attractive example distinguished by its unusual color palette and beautifully articulated decoration. The top register of the vase is a vibrant orange hue and is slightly less red and saturated than seen in the catalogue illustration.
