Condition

Overall very good condition. The surface of the table with a light later finish that is slightly shiny when viewed in person. The wood selection of the top of the table with wonderful figuring and vigorous free edges that impart the table a wonderful shape. This table is distinguished by a deeply figured board selected for the base that alternates between rich tones of caramel and darker walnut hues. This detail adds a wonderful drama and presence to the overall work and complements the highly detailed board selected by Nakashima as the table top. The top with a few very minor shallow surface scratches and a few edge abrasions, consistent with sensitive use and handling. The lower portion of the base with expected shallow surface scratches, edge abrasions and nicks consistent with age and gentle use.
