Condition

Overall very good original condition. The dining table retains the original highly saturated coloration of the enameled surfaces. The top with small and minor scattered surface scratches and light abrasions. The top with one small area of white paint residue to the top and extending to the edge. With some minor rubbing and scattered oxidation to the patinated brass surfaces throughout. The top surface depicts a complex narrative composition of figures within a landscape. The rectangular leaves of the table do not continue this pattern instead displaying a circular pattern with Chinese characters to each corner, adding further depth to the decoration. The table presents with delicate details of the figures and the landscape executed in exquisite, multicolored enamelwork. The extension leaves can be stored underneath the table top as shown in the catalogue illustration. There is a decorative edge on the leaves that when stored beneath the top become the outer edge of the table. Each of the two leaves measures 20 inches (50.8 cm) in the length.
