each with shallow sides rising from a recessed base to an everted rim, the exterior decorated in underglaze-blue with the Eight Immortals against a background of copper-red waves, the interior similarly decorated with a medallion enclosing Shoulao standing next to his deer against a background of tempestuous waves, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a four-character Yanghetang zhi ('Made for the Hall of Nurturing Harmony') hall mark within a double-square

Condition

The pair is in overall very good condition with the exception of occasional glaze unevenness, especially above the footrings.
