the moulded caned back frame topped by carved foliated element, with curved arm supports carved with acanthus, the later gros-point upholstery seat above carved cabriole legs joined by shaped stretcher

Condition
In good conserved condition, with replaced caning and later date needlework seat upholstery which was probably caned as well when made. Reblocked. There is a repaired break to the crest and repaired breaks to arm joints. The stretcher has been re-enforced and a repaired break to foot of back leg. Marks of old wood that seems to be no longer active. With label of 'Stodel Amsterdam'.
