Etching, 1575, from Ornaments for goldsmiths in squares, octagons and lozenges; with another by Daniel Marot I, 1650-1712, from Nouveaux lieure de cheminées à la Hollandoise; together with Karel Dujardin The Shepherd with Three Cows (Bartsch, Hollstein 21), etching 1660, a very good impression of the second (final) state; Bernard Picart, Elegant Company Making Music in a Place, etching, 1709; and Hans Baldung Grien, The Lamentation(B.5; Holl. 53), woodcut, a clear through later impression, each framed

Condition

Marot: with wide to small margins, in good condition apart from a few soft folds, a couple of pale stains at sheet edges, minor nicks at left edge, pale paper discoloration, framed. After Gerards: trimmed just outside the image, in good condition apart from glued to a support sheet, framed. Baldung Grien: trimmed just outside the borderline, in good condition apart from a few thin areas at edges (mainly visible verso), an ink inscription at lower right corner recto, framed. Dujardin: with narrow margins, in good condition, a number inscription in pen and upper right corner recto, framed. Picart: trimmed just outside the image and just into the text below, with pale scattered foxing, a central vertical fold, a couple of repaired tears at sheet edges, other minor defects, glued to the backboard, framed.
