Description

  • 20cm., 7 7/8 in. high; 15cm., 5 7/8 in. in high; 19cm., 7 1/2 in. high; 18cm., 7 in. high
comprising; a pewter mounted Bünzlau brown stoneware jug applied with stylised flowers picked out in dark brown; a Westerwald jug applied with three rows of portrait medallions; a pewter mounted Westerwald tankard with groups of figures in arched panels, and a Westerwald tankard with portrait medallions, the third with handle crack, the last with base crack and chip,

Condition

The mounted jug: good condition, no damage noted. The jug without mounts: there are hairline cracks around the top terminal of the handle. The larger mug: there are two hairline cracks to the handle The smaller mug: There is a chip on the outside edge of the foot rim with an associated hairline crack running through the base and half way around the rim.
