  • the `bleu persan' jug: 24cm., 9 1/2 in. high
the ovoid body and flared neck enamelled in white with birds, insects and flowers against a bright blue-glazed ground, APW mark for De Paauw (The Peacock) factory; together with a Chinese blue and white tankard and cover, 17th century, with European silver-hinged mounts and a pewter mounted Dutch delft blue and white jug, some damage

Condition

Bleu persan jug- some loss of glaze to the rim. Small chip to footrim. Minor glaze nicks around footrim.The lid is silver rather then pewter Chinese jug- restored chip to rim with some spraying in the surrounding area. Long haircrack to rim, approx. 4in.length. Some light brown staining to handle. Firing crack around footrim. Cover with small chip and nicks to rim. Dutch jug- small typical glaze chips to rim. Glaze chip to top edge of handle, approx. 1cm. square.
