The first vintage after the late Michel Delon took over complete control from his father. In 2012, immensely black fruit, cassis nose, redolent of Cabernet Sauvignon on the very best terroir. It reminded me of a Pauillac First Growth. So scented and complex. So ripe, soft and silky on the palate, remarkable from such a late, 'catch-up' vintage. I have watched this wine all its life - it was always classy and now it is both refined and plump at the same time. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
