The rectangular powder compact of basket weave design, applied to the lid with a heart-shaped emerald framed by brilliant-cut diamonds, the thumbpiece similarly set, opening to reveal a powder compartment and mirror, measuring approximately 83mm x 57mm x 18mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, the rectangular perfume flask of similar design, signed VC&A and numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Compact: Signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 80358. Maker's mark. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Removable powder compartment with cover, in good condition. Traces of powder remain. Emerald medium to dark green, with typical inclusions visible to naked eye. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.00 - 2.00 carats, stones bright and lively. Clasp in good order. In good condition.
Perfume bottle: Signed VC&A, numbered 50297. Maker's marks. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. With perfume dabber. Very slight scratches to metal consistent with use. In good condition.
