Designed as a series of eleven oval enamel plaques, each depicting the regional costume of a different Swiss Canton, within three colour gold frames accented with vari-coloured gemstones, including mixed-cut rubies, emeralds, amethyst and cabochon turquoise, the reverse of each panel applied with an enamel plaque of the name of each Swiss Canton, length approximately 180mm.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Mounted in gold, tongue of clasp steel, secure clasp. Two enamel plaques with some small chips and enamel loss and fine hairline cracks to surface, the remaining plaques in good condition. One gold shell motif with slight split to end and one enamel Canton name partially deficient to the reverse.
