Comprising: A hinged bangle, applied with enamel images of a Venetian senator, Admiral Angelo Emo and a figure of triumph clutching a corno ducale, atop the Lion of St. Mark, width approximately 65mm, a brooch applied with enamel and set with rose diamonds, depicting Doge Morosini receiving tribute from two kneeling Turks below the legend 'PARCERE SUBIECTIS ET DEBELLARE SUPERBOS SCIT NOBILIS IRA LEONIS' (The noble anger of the lion knows how to spare the defeated and vanquish the proud in war) commemorating the Venetian victory in Morea; and a pair of pendent earrings, depicting the lion of St. Mark, suspending drops with the heads Venetian Doges, applied with enamel and set with rose diamonds, hook fittings.
Condition
Enamel in good condition throughout. Diamonds bright and lively, one stone deficient. Brooch fitting and bangle clasp secure. Scratches to metal consistent with age and wear. In very good condition.

Catalogue Note
The image on the brooch is taken from a medal struck in 1687 following victory over the Ottomans, an original can be found in the collection of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, Object ID MEC0304. Associated with various parts of Venetian history, these jewels were most likely made for a later external market.
