Set to the centre with a cushion-shaped ruby, within a frame of cushion-shaped, rose diamonds and seed pearls, brooch and pendant fittings interchangeable.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report no. 09911, stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
Ruby medium purplish red, good saturation, typical inclusions visible to naked eye, some abrasions to facet edges and surface reaching fissures. Seed pearls white to cream, medium to dull lustre, some off round. Diamonds bright and lively. Fittings secure when closed. Scratches and tarnish to metal consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
