Gem set, enamel and diamond necklace

Designed as three rows of cultured pearls, ruby and emerald beads, each suspending a plaque set respectively with polished rubies and carved emeralds, and lasqué-cut diamonds, applied to reverse with polychrome enamel, length of shortest row approximately 480mm.

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US and therefore this piece may not be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Rubies dark purplish red, opaque/translucent clarity, emeralds light to medium green opaque/translucent clarity. Plaques with wear to enamel, mostly with wear to green enamel borders, with chips and losses. Cultured pearls off round, some barrel shaped, with low lustre. In overall good condition.
