Designed as a fish with an articulated tail, the head set with cabochon ruby and sapphire eyes, opening to reveal the lighter, signed Schlumberger, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Signed Schlumberger, maker's marks. Ruby and sapphire with good colour saturation, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Well articulated. Head secure when closed. Lighter mechanism not in working order. Scratches and tarnish to metal consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
