Catalogue Note

Artist's inscription:
We submerged flower-trays, several of them, and filled the little pond;
Then a single branch of this jade-like blossom appeared in noble form.
Because it is not very tall, admirers are few;
Yet since it opens rather late, it enjoys prolonged existence.
In front of the courtyard, in morning sunshine, it freely flaunts its beauty;
The autumn winds along the river blow chillingly - in vain.
I wish to raise a cup right now to toast my appreciation,
Beneath tall skies are dew descends, and as the moonlight gleams.
