of archaistic hu-shape, the rounded side vividly enameled with a lively continuous scene of deer resting, grazing, playing and even combatting all amidst a verdant setting of lush grass, towering evergreens and fruiting peach trees punctuated with blue and green-shaded rock formations, the stags, does and fawns depicted as dappled or spotted in brown, iron-red or white, the shoulder flanked with a pair of stag-head handles, the base with an apocryphal Qianlong mark

Provenance

Collection of a Connecticut family since the 1960s, acquired by the present owner in 2004.

Condition

One of the handles is missing the tip of one antler, otherwise the vase is in good condition.
